4 Hamas Terrorists Killed In Accidental Explosion; Israel Tightens Pressure On Hamas
GAZA (VINNews) — Four Palestinian terrorists were killed Monday night in a string of explosions which occurred in the east of the Gaza strip. Initial reports claimed that the IDF had attacked a Hamas outpost in the Gaza neighborhood of Sej’iya. However, Gaza officials later admitted that there had been an accident when the terrorists were preparing a detonator for a rocket.
The IDF has raised the level of preparedness in its Gaza brigade out of concern that Hamas may increase the terror attacks on the border if the forthcoming visit of the Qatari official in the Gaza strip does not satisfy their demands. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar hopes that Qatar will increase its assistance and may respond by sending rockets if the expected assistance does not arrive.
The IDF also attacked Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip before dawn Monday with airplanes, tanks and drones in response to repeated arson balloon attacks launched into Israel over the past week. The IDF reported that it had attacked “military posts and underground infrastructure of the Hamas terror group in southern Gaza.”
Israel has also tightened pressure on Hamas in response to the incendiary balloons, closing fishing zones to Palestinian fisherman and preventing some commercial materials from entering the Gaza strip.
