Dallas City-Wide Machsom L’Fi. Starts Monday.

We are embarking on a program to unify our city.
Every one of the Orthodox congregations in Dallas, TX are jointly participating in a Machsom L’Fi, 7-8 PM, each day, starting Monday, June 22nd (Rosh Chodesh Tammuz), through July 30 (Tisha B’Av).
What is a Machsom L’Fi? It is a program in which people commit to focusing for a set period of time (i.e. one hour) each day on the proper use of the power of speech as defined in the Torah. During that time they concentrate on avoiding speaking, hearing, reading, or writing Lashon Hara, and any other forms of forbidden speech.
For a comprehensive digest on the laws of proper speech, please refer to Sefer Chafetz Chayim (or one of many translated/elucidated versions), or attend Rabbi Sionit’s Zoom class on Sunday mornings.
This program is endorsed by: Rabbis: Shlomo Abrams, Bentzi Epstein, Aryeh Feigenbaum, Yerachmiel Fried, Ariel Rackovsky, Yaakov Rich, Aryeh Rodin, Ronen Shimon, Zecharia Sionit, and Nasanya Zakon.
How to join: Simply send an email to [email protected] and write “I’m In.”
Please Note: You need not be a member of one of the above Rabbi”s congregations to participate.
This is a zechus (merit) for the protection and refuah for the cholim in our community and all Klal Yisroel.
