The Jewish Federation’s Community Security Initiative is working with the Dallas Police Department this morning in anticipation of the arrival of President Trump at Gateway Church, 12123 Hillcrest Rd, Dallas.
President Trump is scheduled to speak at Gateway Church between 3 – 5 pm.
There are demonstrations planned for President Trump’s arrival at Gateway Church. Although there are no specific threats to the Jewish community, or Jewish facilities, CSI Director Bill Humphrey will be on Churchill way monitoring the demonstrations and coordinating any necessarily police response should the demonstrations move beyond the planned demonstration area on Hillcrest.
Jewish community members are reminded to be aware of your surroundings and situational awareness. If you plan to attend the event, or demonstrations, you should follow all demonstration guidelines for you personal safety.
If you are not participating in this event you should remain away from the area of Hillcrest between Forest and LBJ Freeway.
If you live in the immediate area, just remain at home between 2 – 5 pm. Should you see anything suspicious or feel unsafe at any time, immediately call 911.
The demonstrations are planned as peaceful gatherings and should proceed as a meaningful protest.
CSI will be monitoring from the location and will send any necessary updates to the community.
