Will Daylight Saving Time Become Permanent?

That was the most frequently asked question we received this week, and the answer may depend on what you do today.
In the many meetings, emails, and texts exchanged this week between Senators, their staff, and us, one thing became clear: many Senators have not yet decided how they plan to vote. However, they are facing enormous pressure to pass the bill.
That’s why it’s so important for you to take action today and share with Senators your concerns about permanent DST.
Sunrises after 8 am, and in some places 9 am, for weeks and even months in the winter will increase the danger for children walking to school. It will also disrupt our religious practices, such as delaying the start time of shacharis minyanim and employees’ ability to get to work on time after davening.
Please take two minutes and contact your Senators today.

PS: Our unique perspective was covered extensively in Jewish and secular media (see here and here and here).
