Expert Sofer Coming to Dallas

We are proud to announce that we will again have the privilege of having an expert Sofer visit Dallas to serve the community’s needs.
Harav Menachem Dovid Weiss (from Staten Island, NY) is a respectable Talmid Chacham and trained to check all STA”M (Torah scrolls, Tefillin, Mezuzos, etc). He will be’ezras Hashem, be in Dallas from Sunday, Jan. 3rd through Thursday, Jan. 14th.
Besides checking items, he will also have a limited number of Mezuzos, Tefillin straps, etc for sale. Rabbi Weiss will set up at one of the local synagogues where items will be able to be dropped off for checking. If his time allows, he is open to making house calls for checking Mezuzos as well. More details coming shortly.
As Rabbi Weiss’ time is limited, anyone interested in his services is asked to reach Rabbi Sionit ASAP. We will try to accommodate your preferences for drop-off date and time, etc.
Fees and Prices:
- Mezuza Checking: $10 each
- Tefillin Checking (basic): $95
- Tefillin Checking with Segira (cosmetically perfecting touches): $150
- Retzu’os (Tefillin straps): $120 including replacement labor
