NEW YORK (VINnews) — In a tweet published a short time ago, President Donald Trump announced that he and First Lady Melania have tested positive for coronavirus. Trump wrote that “We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

Prior to Trump’s announcement it was announced that a top official in the White House and close aide of the president, Hope Hicks, had tested positive for the virus.

Tens of thousands of responses to the president’s tweet included many offering support and encouragement.
