Life-Saving Tactical Gear for the IDF. You Can Help!

Dear Friends,

We are in a very perilous situation in our beloved land of Israel, as you well know. Reserves are being called up to prepare for imminent war, albeit severely undersupplied. This exposes our IDF soldiers to unnecessary danger which can be prevented by the purchase of appropriate gear. They are also underfunded and this gear is lacking. There are, unfortunately, links going out which are fraudulent. 
Below is attached an emergency appeal by my dear son Ben Fried, an IAF captain, (res.), who is a founder of an emergency organization directly in contact with the unit commanders to procure what is needed for each unit and to hand-deliver the life-saving gear to those units in real time. 

Every dollar donated on the link below will be spent purchasing life-saving equipment for our dear brethren putting their lives on the line to protect our Homeland.

My name is Ben Fried. I grew up in Dallas and made Aliyah after graduating from Yavneh Academy. 

In the 15 years since making Aliyah, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in the Israeli Air Force (for 6 years, retired as a Captain), be on the founding team of two financial technology startups, and most importantly raise two beautiful daughters with my wife, Meital in our home in Tel Aviv.

The last few days have been devastating. 

When we woke up to sirens at 6:30am on Shabbat, we couldn’t fathom the horrors that would await the country over the coming days.

The losses are almost too hard to bear. Our hearts are broken. But the time for mourning will come later. Now is the time for action. 

I am a part of a group of founders that is focused on providing critical gear to the units, in the very short term. 

We are validating every request directly with unit commanders, fulfilling their requests with manufacturers and hand delivering whatever they need in the trunks of our cars, directly to them. I stress that we are in constant contact with the actual unit commanders, especially of the reserves being called up, to verify precisely what each unit is missing and needs to ensure the safety of our men.

Every hour another 5-10 requests come in: For tactical helmets, bulletproof vests, night vision goggles, and more. Life-saving gear that they need immediately.

Many larger, centralized efforts are taking place such as through the Jewish Federations, which are, of course, important. We are focused on immediate tactical needs, right now in direct contact with unit commanders. 

An example of a recent note in our WhatsApp group: “We just delivered 40 bulletproof vests to a Golani brigade, thanks to a donation from the Chabad of Northwest Bergen County”.

Israel is fighting, collectively. We will win this war together and change the rules of the game. 

We have set up a tax-deductible non-profit foundation where our friends can support these efforts.
