Video: Hikind Bashes Cuomo, Says Governor’s Jewish-Covid Obsession Leads to Violence
BROOKLYN (VINnews/Sandy Eller) – With Governor Andrew Cuomo continuing his daily remarks categorizing the latest uptick in COVID cases as an “ultra-Orthodox” Jewish problem, former Assemblyman Dov Hikind has come out swinging in a new video, warning “King Cuomo” that his actions will have consequences.
Chiding Cuomo for his “obsession” with Jews, Hikind noted that the governor would never order similar crackdowns on any other ethnic group, actions that have only spurred new waves of anti-Semitism.
“He hasn’t stopped talking about Orthodox Jews, Charedi Jews,” Hikind told VIN News. “Doesn’t he realize the repercussions? I have had Chasidic people telling me that they have had people circling them, making comments, saying that Jews have the virus – Cuomo has managed to do that.”
A video posted yesterday on social media by Facebook showed user Sonny Luciano berating a Chasidic man walking down a Borough Park street where no other people were present. Luciano can be heard shouting “Put your [obscenity] mask on. Put your mask on. There’s COVID cases. Hurry up. Put it on,” in the video which was shared more than 2,000 times on Facebook, with one commenter responding “Yesss bro let those [obscenity[ know they the top reason we haven’t passed this covid [obscenity].”
Hikind said that he has been advocating for masks and social distancing for months and that he believes that those guidelines should be strictly enforced. But targeting entire zip codes is illogical and dangerous, said Hikind.
“He has put a giant X on my back,” said Hikind. “I am a target. Every Jew is a target.”
Hikind also slammed Cuomo for disregarding his own policy of using science as his guide in the war on COVID.
“Anyone who lives in Borough Park can go to any other community nearby or even cross the street and be out of a red zone,” said Hikind. “How does that make sense unless he builds a fence around Borough Park to keep everyone in? Who knows, maybe he will do that tomorrow.”
Noting that Cuomo told Catholic churches last week that they were being closed because of a “Jewish” problem only adds fuels to the fire of anti-Semitism, observed Hikind.
“What he is doing is so dangerous and he should know better,” said Hikind. “His father, who I knew for years, never would have behaved in such a fashion.”
I have a simple message for King Cuomo:

I'm not sure what's motivating you to scapegoat the Jewish people every single day for more than TWO WEEKS now…But I can assure you of this:
