Watch: Gur Chasidim Celebrate Wedding Of Rebbe’s Grandson

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — A huge open air wedding took place Wednesday in Jerusalem for the grandson of the Admor of Gur, Rabbi Yaakov Alter. The groom is the son of his son-in-law, Rabbi Avrohom Chanoch Zilberstein. The wedding took place in stages with the reception for the Gur bachurim taking place at 1:30 PM in the old Beis Midrash, the reception for the children (Kinder Tish) taking place at the Boyan Beis Midrash at 3 PM and the Chupah taking place at the old Beis Midrash (the new one is still under construction) on Yirmiyahu street. The crowd stood on Yirmiyahu street during the Chupa while the bachurim continued their studies at the Boyan Beis Midrash nearby and participated via screens in the rest of the festivities.

At the Chupa, the Admorim ofBoyan, Modzitz, Komarna- US and Vizhnitz received honors as well as Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef. Former Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau was honored with reading the Kesuba.
