Aaron Keyak, President Biden’s Jewish Engagement Director: If You Fear For Your Life, Take Off Kippa

NEW YORK (VINnews) — In the wake of the spate of anti-Semitic attacks on Jews in the US, Aaron Keyak, President Joe Biden’s Jewish Engagement Director, tweeted that “It pains me to say this, but if you fear for your life or physical safety take off your kippah and hide your magen david. (Obviously, if you can, ask your rabbi first.).”

Ironically, Keyak had previously expressed his fear for wearing a Kippah under President Trump and seemingly attributed that fear to the Trump administration. Keyak wrote in a tweet in October 2020 that “as a Jew in the US under Trump, I constantly have to look over my shoulder to see how people are looking at my yarmulke. ”

Keyak was exposed on his fears by Jeremy Rovinsky who questioned whether the same person who had expressed his fears under Trump was now stating the same under Biden.
